Every call, answered.
Anser is an AI phone receptionist for UK trades and home services businesses, plumbing and heating first. It picks up when you are on the tools, takes down exactly what the caller needs, and books the job into your diary.
Nothing to install. Keep the number you already have.
A missed call is someone else's job
The phone always rings when your hands are full. Under a boiler, up a ladder, halfway through a rewire, or driving between jobs. Most people who get your voicemail do not leave one. They ring the next number on the list, and the work goes with them. Anser makes sure somebody picks up, and that the somebody knows your business.
How it works
We set it up for you
Send us your website and we build your receptionist from it: your services, the areas you cover, your hours, and how you like a job booked in. You check every word of it before it takes a single call.
It answers, the way you would
Anser picks up straight away and talks the caller through it properly. It knows what you do, where you go, and what to ask. If someone needs you personally, it puts them through to you.
You get the job, in writing
After every call you get a short summary: who rang, what they want, how urgent it is and their number. Bookings go into your calendar while the caller is still on the line.
What it does on a call
Anser is not a general answering service with a plumber's name on it. It is built for how trade work actually comes in: somebody with a problem, a postcode, and a question about how fast you can get there.
Books the job in
Anser offers the slots you actually have free and puts the appointment straight into your calendar, so you are not ringing anybody back to arrange it.
Answers the usual questions
Do you cover my postcode. Do you do landlord certificates. How soon can someone come out. It answers from what you told it, and says it does not know rather than inventing something.
Knows when to fetch you
You decide what counts as urgent. A burst pipe puts the caller through to your mobile; a quote request waits until you have got your hands clean.
Works the hours you choose
All day every day, evenings and weekends only, when you do not pick up within a few rings, or only when the line is already busy. Your call, and you can change it whenever.
Takes a proper message
Name, number, postcode and what is actually wrong, so you can judge the job before you ring back. Not a voicemail saying "call me".
Sounds like a person
Callers get a natural voice that is polite, patient and quick with them. No keypad menus, and no robot reading a script at somebody standing in a flooded kitchen.
Ring it yourself
Send us your website and we will build a working receptionist trained on your business, then give you a number to call. Ask it what your customers ask you. Try to catch it out. If it is not good enough, you have lost ten minutes and nothing else.
Common questions
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Keep the number on your van, your website and every card you have handed out. You divert it to Anser when you want calls picked up, and you can turn that off again whenever you like.
What happens if it cannot answer something?
It says so plainly, takes the details, and flags it for you. Anser will not quote a price you have not set or promise a time you have not agreed to. It is your business it is speaking for.
Will my customers know it is not a person?
Most callers just want their problem dealt with quickly, and that is what they get. We are straight about what Anser is, and you decide how it introduces itself.
What does it cost?
Email us and we will talk you through it properly, once we know how many calls you take. Setting up a demo and hearing it answer costs you nothing.
